Applied material is not just technology, but the manufacturer of technology. It is not the devices that people use everyday, but allows for the making of these devices. I was amazed when I first heard about Applied Materials. At first i thought it made fabrics and other materials, but it was far from the truth. I have never actually given thought about how technology was manufactured. Sure, I knew these were made from machines, but I never actually wondered where the machines came from. Now I understand the beauty of cooperation between the corporations. Applied Materials provide companies to manufacture their products, and in turn can use the product to enhance their own machine's capabilities. For example, they provide Intel with machines to make microprocessors, and these microprocessors can then be used in Applied Material's machinery, which helps companies manufacture better products. This helps both parties.
Applied Materials is not very well known as their products goes to other companies rather than to the consumers directly. However, its importance is not diminished.
From what I have garnered, Applied Materials mainly apply the laws of physics. This includes the machinery required for precision cutting and the likes.
